A one-of-a-kind patchwork Christmas stocking, individually pieced together by hand from a collection of French Clay linen, Indian block prints and Liberty florals. Its palette of pale blue, soft buff and faded pink gives it a lovely vintage feel, as though the fabrics have been gathered and treasured over many years.
Made using the traditional English paper piecing technique in my East Sussex studio, each small hexagon is carefully joined to create a unique patchwork design. Finished with an individually chosen orange stripe lining, this stocking has an unexpected pop of colour inside.
