A Christmas gift guide

Part II

It's just over a week until the big day and I still haven't finished buying all my gifts.  Not that I have many people to buy for (thankfully), and I'm making quite a few gifts this year (I'm a bit behind on those makes, too).  But I have to confess that all things considered I'm feeling pretty relaxed about the whole thing.  Of course, this could all change as the big day looms closer, but so far I've stuck with my resolution to take things easy, give myself a bit of a break and not get stressed by the inevitable epic Christmas build up as it rises to a crescendo.  Towards the end of this week, hubby and I will begin to wind down with work, and with that I am giving myself a couple of light tasks a day to do to get organised (some food shopping and buying some last minute bits, and starting to fill the freezer so there's a minimal amount of cooking to be done over the break), so we can take a proper, well deserved rest over the holidays and spend some relaxing family time together.  I can't wait.  We've dialled the number of presents we'll exchange right back this year, but with that comes the desire to buy something small but meaningful and long-lasting.  If it's handmade and unique, then all the better.
